    Knowing how much I enjoy camping now in my adult life, I look back on my childhood and realize just how fortunate I was to have a father who loved to go camping.

    It was his values that he instilled into me as a young child to enjoy what the great outdoors has to offer. The outdoors and camping in particular, helps bring you closer to nature and the serenity of life that you just can not get anywhere else, through any other vacation.

    Camping is a great way for childhood sons and daughters to bond with their mothers and fathers. Camping is a vacation by which everyone must pitch in and help in order to make living outdoors as comfortable as possible.

    Camping also allows parents to teach their children a variety of skills that lead up to teaching how to be more responsible or responsive with their surroundings. For example, going over the camping list before you leave, setting up the tents when your get there and teaching how to leave a campground better than you found it are all great ways to teach kids about teamwork and responsibility. It also allows you to connect with nature's creatures in their environment.

    According to Treehugger, Tommy Lee is a vegetarian, as of three weeks ago. Of course his inspiration is probably due (at least in part) to his recent reconciliation with his darling, Pamela Anderson, a dedicated and outspoken PETA member.

Personally, I discovered and converted to the raw lifestyle in an effort to gain the peak of health, endurance and healing that I desired. Well, being radical, I may have jumped into too quick but now I would call myself 80% raw as most days I eat once during weekdays and twice on weekends with fruits in the week evenings and weekend afternoons and PROPERLY cooked veggies on weekend nights.

    Have you ever noticed that animals live in the moment? I have never seen an animal actually contemplate what his future is going to be. He goes along with every moment and acts accordingly. He doesn't even question the Universe and lives his life to the fullest. No questions; just joy and understanding.

    If you are thinking of becoming a vegetarian you may be debating if it is for health reasons or because you do not like the thought of animals dying to be used as food. You may ask yourself will it really make much difference in the scheme of things. Individually it probably won't as it is only a small scale thing but if many people feel the same way, it does have an effect on the lives of many animals. A diet made up largely of meat causes heart problems which are the most common causes of death in the United States and other meat consuming countries.
