People who swallow vitamin C have vitamin C in their bodies. It’s a silly thing to have to point out because it simply goes without saying. It should be equally silly, but unfortunately is not, to point out that people who swallow meat; i.e., fear, aggression and violence, have these elements in their bodies.

People who swallow vitamin C have vitamin C in their bodies. It’s a silly thing to have to point out because it simply goes without saying. It should be equally silly, but unfortunately is not, to point out that people who swallow meat; i.e., fear, aggression and violence, have these elements in their bodies.

Think about a time when you were frightened and how your body responded to that fear. Many hormones are released to help you in the fight or flight response that can take you out of danger. Likewise, there are many types of hormones in the bloodstream and flesh of any (and every) animal being killed, such as adrenaline and epinephrine, which are released to assist their natural defenses and their will to live. (However an inconvenient truth to the meat industry as it may be – all animals want to live.) By eating animal parts containing these hormones, which is unavoidable when eating a murdered animal, you are ingesting fear and aggression. Eating fish, who suffocate when taken out of the water, not to mention the pain of the hooks and nets, can offer up a host of aggression hormones. Further, it’s silly to think that your offspring's DNA won’t be adversely affected by all the fear and aggression hormones you’ve ingested. It’s no more complex, albeit far more uncomfortable, than the vitamin C example. Meatism is a violent society creating future ever-increasingly violent societies.

In response to this observation, some people like to point out that Hitler was a vegetarian in a desperate, vain attempt to disparage the philosophy. But, as I said, it is desperate and vain. The fact is, because of his poor health, Hitler’s doctors suggested that he become vegetarian, but he refused. Some of his favorite foods were, in fact, various flesh products, sausages, etc. Even if Hitler had decided to follow his doctor’s advice, he would have been doing so out of selfish reasons – his health. While such a rarity as a violent vegan may exist somewhere, the big picture offers tremendous insight into aggressive and violent personalities and from where they may be getting their aggression and violence. There is no question that aggression and violence are an integral part of a meat-eating world, whereas vegans, be it due to philosophy or chemically (makes no difference), are almost exclusively gentle, kind and respectful of life.

“Besides agreeing with your aims for aesthetic and moral reasons, it is my view that a vegetarian manner of living by its purely physical effect on the human temperament would most beneficially influence the lot of mankind.” – Albert Einstein

Meat has put society on a slippery slope of disease, environmental disaster and brutality. Then, ironically, this concerned society vainly fights battles against these meat-causing treacheries - all while eating meat. If a plant-based vegan diet were adopted by our society, none of these battles would have to be waged. Veganism doesn't fight these wars; it eradicates the need for these wars.

Would you like your children’s future to be filled with meatism – ever-increasing brutality and wars ... or ... veganism – ever-increasing kindness and peace? It’s your call.
